Week 4 half marathon training
This week I've been reading about fueling during my long runs. I tried some Hammer gels a while back just for fun, and they didn't sit well on my stomach. So I ordered some of these Honey Stinger gels and I really like the taste of them.
I finally got around to putting a front basket on my bicycle. I really like baskets for getting groceries and such.
I found a series on YouTube called "Yoga with Adrienne" and she has a runner-specific workout. It's very nice and I try to do it once or twice a week.

New wheels for the bike
About a week ago, I noticed a funny noise coming from the rear wheel of my bicycle.
Taking a look at it, I discovered the rear hub had gone bad.
I said when I bought them that I understood the parts were cheap. But this still surprised me.
But that's ok. I was able to find these awesome neon green wheels from Freedom Cycle Co.

Rear baskets for the bicycles
I bought some Wald 535 rear baskets so we can get groceries with the bicycles.
They hold quite a bit I'm very happy with the purchase.

Bicycles
I've been worried that I was running too much and I wanted to have some other way to exercise as well.
So we bought a couple of cheap Huffy beach cruisers from Wal-Mart.
I know people poo-poo the cheap bikes from Wal-Mart. But these Cranbrook bikes have good frames. Lots of folks buy them so they can put a gas engine on them, so that says something good about them.
Yes the components are junk, but they can be replaced when they wear out.
